We fished for five days in Alaska June 2011. Three days for halibut in Cooks inlet out of Homer, One day fly out for sockeye salmon at wolverine creek and one day drift boat fishing king salmon.

We also saw a Humpback whale and orca, and enjoyed the Alaska mountains and landscape on a beautiful day. The crew was very knowledgable, friendly, and experienced. An epic day fishing for big Lingcod and Halibut aboard the Wave Dancer with Captain Mike Alred of Bob's Trophy Charters in Homer, Alaska. We caught limits of Halibut, Lingcod, Yellow Eye, and Black Cod. I released a halibut over 100 pounds (3:26) and Lee released an even bigger one. We had a few fish break our 80 pound braid. We were using 200 pound mono leaders. Is Lee's Lingcod at 1:12 the biggest Lingcod on youtube? Maybe. If it's not it's darn close. We highly recommend Captain Mike Alred (and our deckhand, Corey).
